This project started with just a definition of what a Liminal Space is. I wanted to bring to light buildings and spaces that were once considered abandoned, some were made into new spaces, while others continued to be stuck in this concept of empty, unused space. Four local spaces were chosen, some held to a local history, while others the local history barely existed. In my seeking to understand what a Liminal Space meant, I kept the design minimal, but educational. The typography is spaced out to show the spaces in between letters. The words ‘was’ ‘fallen’ and ‘save’ were chosen with intention. The grey-green color was based on the grey area that makes a liminal space what it is.
